Handspun YarnHandspun yard has a look that mill produced yarn cannot hope to attain. It is a little inconsistent at times and perhaps irregular in places. But every stitch, whether knit, purl or single crochet will have personality. Every skein of handspun yarn involved at least ten hours to spin and ply on a spinning wheel. It is a labor intensive process and is the reason we can only produce a limited amount of handspun yarn.To produce our yarn, we use only award-winning, fine wool purchased at sheep shows. A portion of our wool will be processed for spinning and a portion will be mill spun and then dyed with natural or chemical dyes. You no doubt expend countless hours on a sweater, shawl or poncho. Why not invest in the highest quality resources to match the investment you'll make in time? Handspun yarn from The Royal Fleecery, Inc. will produce an item unlike any other. Choose from natural color (the actual wool color of the sheep), natural-dyed wool, or chemically-dyed. Inventories change as we sell product. Check back with us often for new items. |
